A Bit About Angela
As a former dance instructor and a career in healthcare and clinical research for 30 years, Angela became an advocate for optimal health outcomes through research, education, movement, and self-empowerment. She completed a 200-hour Ashtanga based yoga teacher training in 2014 and taught Vinyasa and Hatha style yoga before relocating to North Carolina. She completed a second 200-hour Baptiste based teacher training at PCPY in 2025.
While completing a master’s degree in health sciences and clinical research in 2015, Angela was a co-instructor for Yoga Moves MS™, a Michigan-based adaptive yoga program for individuals with Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinsons disease. To validate adaptive yoga as a positive tool for the MS and Parkinsons population, Angela collaborated with the program founder to develop qualitative tools to measure physical and emotional health outcomes of students regularly attending adaptive yoga sessions. It was during this time that Angela truly understood the meaning behind the premise that yoga can be for every ‘body’.
Angela has a special interest in the lineage and philosophy of Ashtanga yoga and has experienced firsthand the benefits of daily meditation, asana, and pranayama as tools for self-empowerment, alleviating stress, and quieting the mind. Angela looks forward to sharing experiences and revelations from her mat with the PCPY community.
